SD sampe SMA di Leuwiliang, sebuah kecamatan di kabupaten Bogor. kuliah di salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri yang berstatus ikatan dinas dan selalu menjadi incaran anak-anak yang ingin bekerja di departeman favorit. kuliah S1 di Malaysia dan menyelesaikan S2 di Universitas Gajah Mada. Tinggal di Surabaya bersama istri dan dua orang putera.
